Command Blocks are blocks that allow you to run commands without the direct use of chatting. This could be connected to redstone triggers that forces the game to run a command when a player activiates it, meaning that it can be used to show a message or broadcast some important things in a world.
Obtaining[]
Command Blocks can only be obtained through the Creative Mode inventory or other command blocks that give more command blocks. In Survival, Command Blocks can also be obtained from administrators who have access to Creative Mode and can give you one.
Command Blocks are breakable in Survival and Creative Mode. In Survival, you need a Silk Touch pickaxe in order to obtain it, or it drops nothing.
Mind that using it in publicly editable worlds increases the chances of it being stolen, as the item pickup system is sometimes bugged so that the player that cannot pickup the item.
Usage[]
Command Blocks can run commands that are available in your gamemode, meaning you can only run commands that are available in Survival through a command block, and you can run commands that are available to you in Creative.
