Mine-craft.io has many similar characteristics to Minecraft due to being based on it. One such characteristic is enchantments. Most of the enchantments and things related to enchantments in Mine-craft.io work as in regular Minecraft, but there are a few exceptions.

Conceptual Exceptions[]

Frost Walker freezes the water directly beneath the player forever, regardless whether it is a source block or not. Unlike the official Minecraft, Frost Walker does not protect from magma block damage. Piercing does not make an arrow go through an entity like in Minecraft, but instead does the same amount of damage regardless of the armor. Looting can be applied to bows for good loot without need for melee combat. Telekinesis is an enchantment not included in vanilla Minecraft and it increases your item pickup (robbing) radius while auto-pickup is enabled. Telekenesis does not affect temporary pick-up initialized by pressing the "Z" key. Any other non-vanilla enchantment is just meta data.

Meta Data[]

Meta data is a set of information that helps to define a certain object. Enchantments are meta data that does a specific thing. However, this does not mean that all meta data has a use. In the case of any non-vanilla enchantment (with the exception of Telekinesis), the meta data is not considered important to the game, so it can be easily transferred, exploited, and modified.

Power Exceptions[]

As of December 3, 2020, enchantments can be found over their regular limit in villager trades, by fishing*, in lucky blocks, or in any naturally generated chest. For example, Thorns can be found as level 10, Smite can be found as level 20, etc. The current maximum that an enchantment can be found as is level 25 by lucky blocks or fishing, and level 20 being the maximum from villager trades, with the exception of things made by the admins and meta data. Lottery crates give you up to level 100 enchantments, and they are worth a fortune, even if they seem useless, such as the curse of binding 100, curse of vanishing 100, etc. The cheapest 100 book is the Sharpness 100 book sold in the Top Shop.

Disenchanting[]

The grindstone is a tool from vanilla Minecraft, but it has a slightly different functionality. When an enchanted item is put into the left slot, beneath the arrow, there are boxes next to each enchantment name. Selecting the box next to any enchantment will keep that enchantment on the item. Selecting it again will remove it. The grindstone, by default, removes everything, so make sure that you are happy with your selection before taking the item out. Remove the item in the right box to confirm and use the item. Unlike in Minecraft, the grindstone can remove curse enchantments.

The grindstone remembers your last selection (provided that you don’t exit the grindstone UI), and automatically selects the boxes you selected last time.
