Heads are blocks dropped by mobs killed, by players upon their death, or by the /head command, only available in creative.
Natural Generation[]
Heads do not naturally generate in game.
Obtaining[]
Heads are obtained through killing mobs. All mobs drop their heads, and the chance is increased slightly with the looting enchantment.
Heads also drop from killed players along with what they had in their inventory. A player who dies with a Charm of Keeping of any level will not affect the head drop. This means that with charm of keeping III, only the player's head drops as loot.
Heads can also be obtained through Lottery Cases or Christmas Presents, but only as skeleton heads. This is because skeleton heads are the default texture and ID for all heads.
It can also be obtained in the system shop, for a price of 10 emeralds, a player can step on a pressure plate on a command block for their head to drop as an item on the ground. The emeralds must be present in the player's inventory.
Usage[]
Heads can be trophies to show off how many players you killed, or a collectible, because who wouldn't want to have 10000 Herobrine heads. All heads can be placed. When player heads are renamed by default in the format "Head of" + player's name. These heads have custom textures according to which skin the player had when they died. When placed, they display the renamed name, similar to how name tags display renamed mobs.
Most mob heads can also be sold in "Shop Selling" world made by the system, with reasonable prices.
Trivia[]
Unlike most items in the game, Heads cannot be destroyed by explosions when they are dropped in item form.
