Snow layers are naturally spawned when a snowman moves over any uncovered surface. These are most commonly found at spawn, but can be generated using snowmen spawned from an egg or a spawner. Snow layers are sold by villagers, but are considered a rare item as they cannot be dug off the ground using any tool and are rarely found in trades.
